About the role:The Principal R&D Electronics Hardware Design Engineer uses their expertise in the definition, design and testing of analog and digital electronics as part of the development of EP ablation medical devices. As a member of EP's electrical equipment design team, the Principle R&D Electronics Hardware Design Engineer designs and tests electronic circuits for the delivery of high voltage PFA treatments, as well as communications and interface circuits for medical devices.Your responsibilities will include:Design, develop, debug, modify and test electrical circuits and systems using the latest tools, analysis techniques and technologies.Maintain existing products by addressing End Of Life and Reliability issues.Resolve engineering problems by analyzing the situation and recommending the implementation of corrective or preventative measures.Select electronic circuits, components, tools, and equipment using best practices.Document the development of electrical components by writing procedures, reports, memos and change requests.Track electrical component development efforts by creating and maintaining records in approved tracking management tools.Clearly communicate key technical updates with relevant parties to facilitate informed decision-making.Develop new products or process enhancements to strengthen BSC's intellectual property portfolio in key strategic areas.Work collaboratively with process development, quality, manufacturing, regulatory, clinical research and marketing departments on complex projects to ensure success.Train technicians and other engineers or give them work instructions.Always demonstrate a leading commitment to patient safety and product quality by adhering to all documented quality processes and procedures. Other duties as required.Required qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field5+ years of direct work experience with PCB Layout using Altium Designer / Schematic, Layout and Documentation Package;5+ years of direct work experience in Analog Circuit Design; Switching Power Supply Design; Power Magnetics Design; Low Noise circuit Analog Design; Microcontroller based circuits; Low Speed Digital designStrong analytical skills for Circuit Development and DocumentationStrong electrical engineering simulation skills, Spice based or MATLABLab experience with circuit debugging, test fixtures development, and relevant lab test equipmentAbility to work within a team efficiently and independentlyExceptional communication skills, fluent in both written and spoken EnglishPreferred qualifications:Experience with high power/high voltage power supply designExperience with signal processing conceptsExperience in the field of medical device electronicsExperience using EMI/EMC best practices for board level circuit designFamiliarity with cable/harness designAbility to solve complex problems by analyzing root causes, including designing and executing experimental plans and using statistical methodologies to make data-driven decisionsAbility to draw conclusions and make recommendations based on technical information from multiple and varied sourcesExcellent organizational, communication and collaboration skillsAbility to work indpendently to plan, schedule and execute activities necessary to meet project deadlines as well as lead junior team members to ensure the overall success of the project.Requisition ID: 633614Minimum Salary: $ 102100Maximum Salary: $ 194000The anticipated compensation listed above and the value of core and optional employee benefits offered by Boston Scientific (BSC) – see will vary based on actual location of the position and other pertinent factors considered in determining actual compensation for the role.
