Key Responsibilities: Model the 3A's of Friendly: acknowledge, assist, and appreciate our customers. Promote our Corporate Brands to enhance customer awareness. Foster a positive and respectful atmosphere among associates. Create a welcoming environment where customers feel valued by answering product-related inquiries effectively. Acquire and maintain knowledge of all products in the department to provide informed recommendations to customers. Assist in preparing produce platters and trays to meet customer needs. Inform customers about special produce promotions. Recommend products that align with customer preferences to ensure satisfaction. Efficiently prepare, package, label, and inventory merchandise. Conduct quality checks on products for freshness and take necessary actions. Label, stock, and organize department merchandise appropriately. Report any discrepancies in product ordering or shipping to the department manager. Maintain a positive and upbeat attitude that reflects our values. Stay updated on current, seasonal, and special promotions. Ensure proper temperature controls are maintained in refrigeration units and keep temperature logs updated. Reinforce safety protocols by adhering to procedures and reporting any unsafe conditions to management. Perform preventive maintenance by inspecting equipment and alerting the appropriate personnel as needed. Notify management immediately of any customer or employee accidents. Report any safety risks, illegal activities, including theft or fraud, to store management. Work collaboratively in a fast-paced, at times stressful environment. Handle conflicts in a calm and non-confrontational manner. Act with integrity regarding all customer and business information. Follow instructions and seek assistance when necessary to resolve issues promptly. Support interactions with minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults with respect and care. Perform all essential functions of the role with or without reasonable accommodation. Qualifications: Ability to manage stressful situations effectively. Strong communication skills. Basic math proficiency (counting, addition, and subtraction). A current food handlers permit (to be obtained upon hiring). Desired Experience: Previous experience in a retail setting.
