Hybrid 3 days onsite in McLean, VA

Our client seeks an AI Software Engineer with Java and Python expertise to drive design, development, and delivery of GenAI-enabled applications. The role requires experience with LangGraph, MCP, prompt engineering, and modern CI/CD practices. The Engineer will guide technical decisions, ensure code quality, and collaborate across teams to deliver scalable solutions.

Due to client requirements, applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis. For our w2 consultants, we offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance.

Rate: $63.00 to $73.00/hr. w2

Responsibilities:

Lead end-to-end design and development of Java and Python services and integrations.
Build and orchestrate GenAI workflows leveraging LangGraph and MCP.
Design, evaluate, and refine prompts to optimize model performance and reliability.
Implement CI/CD pipelines to enable automated testing, security scanning, and deployments.
Collaborate with product, architecture, and platform teams to define technical approaches.
Ensure code quality, performance, and observability across services.
Mentor engineers and promote engineering best practices.

Experience Requirements:

Proven experience as a Lead in application development with Java and Python.
Hands-on work with GenAI tools, LangGraph, and MCP.
Practical prompt engineering experience for LLM-based solutions.
Strong CI/CD experience with modern tooling and practices.
Background in building scalable, secure, and resilient services.
Experience in hybrid team collaboration and stakeholder communication.

Skills, experience, and other compensable factors will be considered when determining pay rate. The pay range provided in this posting reflects a W2 hourly rate; other employment options may be available that may result in pay outside of the provided range.
W2 employees of Eliassen Group who are regularly scheduled to work 30 or more hours per week are eligible for the following benefits: medical (choice of 3 plans), dental, vision, pre-tax accounts, other voluntary benefits including life and disability insurance, 401(k) with match, and sick time if required by law in the worked-in state/locality.
