Work Environment

This position is onsite at our modern rehabilitation facility, where you will be part of a collaborative team consisting of two other physical therapists and a physical therapy assistant. Our clinic's culture fosters teamwork, communication, and a shared goal of promoting the health and well-being of all our patients. Operating hours are Monday to Friday from 9 am to 5 pm, allowing for a balanced work-life schedule.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate and assess the needs and goals of each patient, developing personalized care plans tailored to their specific requirements and objectives.
• Provide high-quality therapeutic interventions to enhance patients' range of motion, strength, and mobility while minimizing reliance on pain medications or surgical options.
• Utilize a variety of therapeutic techniques and exercises to facilitate recovery and promote active participation in wellness and fitness regimens.
• Track and document patient progress meticulously, using EMR software such as WebPT to maintain accurate records of treatment and outcomes.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for patients, participating in multidisciplinary meetings as necessary.
• Encourage and motivate patients throughout their course of treatment, employing effective communication and compassionate interaction to foster a positive therapeutic relationship.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our clinic primarily serves outpatient orthopedic patients, including those recovering from sports injuries, post-surgical rehabilitation, and chronic pain management. We accept a range of private health insurance providers, and our team is dedicated to making physical therapy accessible and affordable for all patients in our community.

Qualifications

• A Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited institution.
• Current Virginia Physical Therapist License, with no board actions or disciplinary history.
• Strong manual therapy skills and proficiency in therapeutic exercises.
• Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems, particularly WebPT.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in orthopedic outpatient settings, demonstrating a solid understanding of the common conditions and effective treatment modalities.
• Experience in developing wellness and fitness programs tailored to individual patients' needs.
• A track record of applying evidence-based practices within physical therapy interventions and maintaining clinical documentation.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this position ranges from USD 90,000 to 100,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
