Maintenance Technician - 1st Shift


Location: Berlin, CT
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-4:00 PM
Pay rate: $20-40/hr

What You'll Do


As a Maintenance Technician , you'll be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing production machinery and facility equipment.


Your responsibilities will include:

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on manufacturing machinery and equipment.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and other equipment issues.
• Diagnose equipment problems and make repairs to minimize production downtime.
• Inspect machinery and identify potential issues before they become major breakdowns.
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and document completed work.
• Repair, replace, and adjust mechanical components such as bearings, belts, chains, motors, pumps, and related components.
• Troubleshoot and repair basic electrical components, controls, sensors, and wiring.
• Work with production personnel to respond to equipment problems and restore machinery to operation.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized maintenance area.
• Follow all company safety procedures and maintenance best practices.
• Assist with equipment installations, modifications, and continuous-improvement projects as needed.

What You Must Have to Be Considered


We're looking for someone with a strong hands-on maintenance background who can independently troubleshoot and repair industrial equipment.


Required:

• Previous experience performing maintenance on manufacturing or industrial machinery .
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills.
• Working knowledge of electrical systems and the ability to troubleshoot electrical issues.
• Experience with at least some combination of hydraulics, pneumatics, motors, pumps, bearings, belts, chains, sensors, or industrial controls .
• Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, or equipment manuals.
• Ability to use common maintenance tools and diagnostic equipment.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as with a production/maintenance team.
• Ability to safely perform the physical requirements of a manufacturing maintenance position.
• Reliable attendance and a strong commitment to workplace safety.

Preferred:

• Technical school or formal training in industrial maintenance, electrical, mechanical technology, or a related field.
• Experience with PLC troubleshooting.
• Experience with preventive maintenance programs.
• Manufacturing experience in a high-volume production environment.
