Responsibilities Develop comprehensive care plans tailored to each young person’s needs. Recruit and retain a strong team, completing inductions and personal development plans. Foster consultation with young people about their care. Assign key workers to implement care plans. Maintain high‑quality care standards in line with the Home’s Statement of Purpose. Handle complaints and child protection concerns. Collaborate with parents, carers and professionals to promote welfare. Attend and contribute to care planning and review meetings. Ensure a safe culture for children in service. Effectively manage the home’s commercial performance against budget. Essential Requirements & Experience Passionate about making a difference to young people in care. At least 2 years in residential care of children, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role within the last 5 years. Level 3 in Children’s Residential Care essential; Level 5 in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare preferred; if not enrolled, must enroll within 6 months. Knowledge of Quality Standards, SCCIF, childcare legislation and regulatory requirements. Efficient planning, organising, budget control, resource allocation and team leadership. Confidence in effective spoken and written communication. Understanding of trauma and behaviour management for children. Full UK driving licence required.
