Registered Nurse - Rn Crisis Stabilization/Icu - High Acuity

Peachford, the leading free-standing psychiatric hospital in Georgia, is seeking registered nurses with experience or an interest in mental health nursing. Our hospital, located on a 38 acre wooded campus in the Dunwoody neighborhood of North Atlanta, treats nearly 10,000 children, adults, and seniors every year. We are looking for candidates who are dedicated and committed to providing the highest level of compassionate care. Our crisis stabilization units have several staff nurse positions open on a variety of shifts, including an additional ICU pay differential in addition to other incentives for working with this high acuity population. Charge nurse roles are also available.

Qualifications:

• Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• Experience: Prefer one year of nursing experience
• Certifications/Licensure: State of Georgia or eCompact multistate nursing license
• Other helpful skills: Written and oral communication skills. Skills in case management. Skills in time management. Knowledge of acute psychological disorders, and advanced principals of abnormal psychology. Familiarity with follow-up resource services available to patients. Skills in maintaining information as highly confidential. Ability to treat all age populations as needed or have the capacity to develop skills through the organization's cross-training and orientation program. Ability to clearly summarize pertinent clinical information via written correspondence and medical records documentation.
