CT Technologist

Job Summary:


The Radiology / Cardiology CT Technologist is responsible for performing advanced CT imaging procedures on patients ranging from neonates to geriatrics in both outpatient and inpatient settings. This role requires expertise in operating specialized CT scanners, conducting a variety of diagnostic and interventional procedures, and utilizing documentation systems such as EPIC. The CT Tech must maintain high standards of patient care, safety, and image quality while collaborating with clinical teams. A minimum of three years of experience and relevant certifications are mandatory.

Responsibilities:

• Perform CT imaging procedures including abdomen, pelvis, head/neck, chest spine, musculoskeletal, brain perfusion, CT arthrography, myelography, CT angiographies (CTAs), aspirations, biopsies, and drainages.
• Operate and maintain GE Revolution Scanner and GE HD 750 equipment with proficiency.
• Use PACS systems for image acquisition, storage, and retrieval.
• Administer contrast agents safely and monitor patient reactions.
• Document procedures accurately in EPIC and ensure compliance with all regulatory and safety standards.
• Prepare patients for procedures, explaining processes and addressing concerns.
• Collaborate with radiologists, cardiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care.
• Maintain clean and wrinkle-free scrubs and adhere to professional appearance standards.

Required Skills & Certifications:

• ARRT certification.
• CT Certification (firm requirement).
• Minimum of 3 years of CT technologist experience.
• Experience with GE Revolution Scanner and GE HD 750.
• Proficiency with EPIC documentation system.
• Competence in performing a wide range of CT procedures including biopsies and contrast administration.
• Ability to work with patient populations from neonates to geriatrics.

Preferred Skills & Certifications:

• Experience with advanced imaging techniques such as brain perfusion and multiplanar reconstruction.
• Prior experience in both outpatient and inpatient settings.

Special Considerations:

• Must work 3x12 hour shifts including graveyard shifts and holidays as needed.
• No on-call or float requirements.
• Strict dress code requiring clean, wrinkle-free scrubs of any color.
• No requested time off during the first two weeks of the contract.
• All requested time off must be submitted with initial contract submission.

Scheduling:

• Work schedule consists of three 12-hour shifts per week.
• Shifts include overnight (graveyard) hours and holiday coverage as required.
