Cath Lab Registered Nurse (RN)

Unit Information

Location: Lewisville, TX

• Number of Beds: 1 Cath/EP Lab
• Number of Staff: 6
• Type of Staff: RN/Cath Lab Tech
• Day Shift: 5 RN/1 Tech
• Night Shift: Rotating on call with a minimum of 3 team members; at least one RN and two others can be RN or Tech
• Patient Ratios: 1:1 team
• Type of Equipment: GE, Mac Lab, Abbott Ensite X
• EMR: Mac Lab

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe and effective patient care in the Cath Lab environment.
• Perform various procedures, including but not limited to:
• Left Heart Catheterization
• Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI)
• Pacemaker and Implantable Cardioverter Defibrillator (ICD) Implants
• Transesophageal Echocardiograms (TEE)
• Cardioversion
• Loop Recorders
• Electrophysiology (EP) Studies
• EP Ablations, including upcoming Amulets

Qualifications

• Required Skills:
• Experienced scrub
• Experienced in monitoring
• Preferred Skills:
• EP scrub experience
• EP monitor experience
• Required Certifications: ACLS, RCIS, RRT

Additional Information

Must be available to float to assist within the facility or to other locations within a reasonable radius as needed.

Dress Code: Ceil blue scrubs.

Weekend and On-Call Requirements: Rotating minimum of two weekends per month.

Experience Required: Minimum of 1 year in a relevant setting.
