You will be able to apply your knowledge to exciting challenges, learn how to use cutting-edge tax technologies in standardized processes and grow with a team that's not afraid to push the status quo.KPMG is currently seeking an Associate or Senior Associate to join our Trade and Customs practice.Responsibilities:Support managed service engagements, in a variety of industries, on Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ) implementation and operationsProvide quality review for basic to complex trade compliance tasks and processes performed with the Trade & Customs Delivery CenterSupport FTZ clients with validating data, implementing, testing and using GTM solutionsProvide clients with guidance on requirements of U.S. Customs and Border Protection and participating government agencies (PGA) for import, entry and export transactions in an FTZ environmentAssist in the delivery of multiple client engagements on time and within budget; maintain active communication with clients to manage expectations and satisfactionAct with integrity, professionalism, and personal responsibility to uphold KPMG's respectful and courteous work environmentAdditional responsibilities for Senior Associate:Act as a valued member of the FTZ Service Delivery Team and support the development and training of delivery center staffQualifications:Minimum one year of recent import export experience with strong working knowledge of Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ) processes, compliance activities, and operations, including participating government agency (PGA) reporting, as well as other import/export matters, such as Harmonized Tariff Schedule, customs federal regulations, free trade agreements, entry processes, valuation and informed compliance methodsCertified Public Accountant (CPA), Juris Doctor (JD) or a master's degree from an accredited college or university in international trade preferred; minimum of a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university is requiredPrevious experience using FTZ inventory control and recordkeeping systems and/or FTZ processing is preferredStrong technical skills with the ability to conduct in-depth reviews of import/export data using data and analyticsAbility to travel both domestically and internationallyApplicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future; KPMG LLP will not sponsor applicants for US work visa status for this opportunity (no sponsorship is available for H-1B, L-1, TN, O-1, E-3, H-1B1, F-1, OPT, CPT or any other employment based visaAdditional qualifications for Senior Associate:Minimum three years of recent import/export experience with strong working knowledge of Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ) processes, compliance activities, and operations, including participating government agency (PGA) reporting, as well as other import/export matters, such as Harmonized Tariff Schedule, customs federal regulations, free trade agreements, entry processes, valuation and informed compliance methodsLicensed Customs Broker (LCB) or other related trade certification preferredKPMG LLP and its subsidiaries (“KPMG”) complies with all local/state regulations regarding displaying salary ranges.
