CDL Residential Driver

The Residential Driver will be responsible for safely, efficiently, and courteously providing waste removal services to customers. The driver will collect solid waste or recyclables on curbside and/or backdoor routes and transporting to post-collection facilities. Job Description Join the Green For Life Team! You will: Operate with Pride: Safely navigate residential neighborhoods in rear-load trucks to collect waste, yard waste, and recyclables. Master the Equipment: Utilize hydraulic systems and compaction units with precision to maximize efficiency and minimize mechanical wear. Safety First: Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections. At GFL, if it isn’t safe, we don’t do it. Customer Excellence: Provide courteous service to our neighbors, ensuring routes are completed accurately and containers are handled with care. What You’ll Need (Requirements) The License: A valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL). The Experience: At least 1 year of commercial driving experience OR a certificate from an accredited CDL school. The Mindset: A commitment to safety-sensitive functions and a clean driving record. The Grit: Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions and lift up to 50 lbs repetitively. The Skills: Strong spatial awareness (backing into tight spaces) and a professional demeanor. Physical Demands & Working Conditions This is an active role involving standing, walking, and frequent lifting.
