Recruitment Information Recruitment Number 208332 – Kona International Airport, Hawaii. Employment only. The immediate vacancy requires shift work (rotating shifts, evenings, weekends, holidays). Duties Summary Responsible for independent airport ground operations control work in accordance with standard operating procedures and special instructions under emergency or other unique conditions. Control aircraft parking and movement, enforce regulations and operate radio communications to maintain safety and operational efficiency in airport ground operations areas. Maintain logs and records, prepare reports, tabulate aircraft revenue landings, and perform other related duties as assigned. Minimum Qualification Requirements General Experience: Two years of work experience demonstrating ability to meet and deal effectively with people, understand and apply various rules and regulations, prepare reports, and act effectively in emergencies. Specialized Experience: One year of airport ground operations control work that included assignment and control of aircraft parking positions; direction and control of the movement of aircraft and vehicles on the ramp; inspection of runways; inspection of airfields and aircraft parking ramps; enforcement of aircraft and vehicular operational rules and regulations. License: Valid driver's license. Federal Criminal History Records Check: Must be eligible for security clearance; convicted or found "not guilty by reason of insanity" of disqualifying offenses within ten years is disqualifying. Applicant bears the cost. Testing Information Examination will be conducted on an unassembled basis where the score is based on evaluation and rating of education and experience.
