About the Position

Job Title: Cardiac Cath Lab Tech Profession: Cardiac Cath Lab Tech Specialty: Cardiac Cath Lab Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Shift Hours per Shift: 10.5 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Not specified Certifications: BLS, ACLS, ARRT Must-Have: Candidates must be competent in Special Procedures and GE Innova. Description: The unit consists of 4 rooms with 1 patient per room. There are 22 staff members made up of RNs and Techs. The day shift includes 1 Charge RN and 4 staff members per room, totaling 16 staff on the shift. The night shift comprises an on-call team with 3 members per call team, totaling 7 staff. Patient ratios are maintained at 1:1. All equipment used is GE. The electronic medical records system in use includes Meditech and MacLab. Typical procedures performed include Cardiac Cath, Cerebella angiograms, stenting, and balloon procedures. There is a focus on ENT lab scrubbing as well. Ideal candidates should be team players and critical thinkers. Patient care focus is essential in a fast-paced environment. On-call is frequent; therefore, flexibility and adaptation to unit needs are required. The dress code consists of surgical scrubs provided by the unit. Daily huddle calls are held to foster development of relationships among staff and patients. The department has a gold seal of approval and is recognized for its excellence. Building a close-knit team within the department is paramount.
