Position

Position: Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) Employment Type: Part-Time to Full-Time Shifts: PM/Night/Weekend with Differential Pay Bonus: Up to $3,000 commitment bonus

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct routine and specialized laboratory tests in a designated medical specialty area, identifying any test discrepancies and taking corrective action as needed.
• Promptly report critical test results to physicians or nurses, adhering to established protocols. Maintain an accurate log of abnormal results.
• Prepare test reports clearly, reviewing them for accuracy and clinical relevance, while ensuring proper documentation with initials and dates.
• Provide in-service training for lab staff and students in your specialty area.
• Assist with clerical tasks related to laboratory operations.
• Participate in specimen collection and processing, following established protocols.
• Attend department meetings and in-service training sessions regularly.
• Engage in the development and presentation of continuing education programs.
• Adhere to all laboratory and hospital policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.

Education and Certification

• Completion of an accredited Medical Laboratory Technician program, or equivalent education, training, and experience.
• ASCP or equivalent national certification in medical technology.
