Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a skilled Operating Room RN for a 13-week travel assignment in Kalispell, Montana. The Operating Room Registered Nurse provides comprehensive patient care throughout the perioperative process, ensuring the safety and comfort of patients during surgical procedures. This role involves preparing the operating room, managing surgical equipment, and collaborating with the surgical team to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care.

The required qualifications include one year of recent experience as an Operating Room RN, a valid RN license in compliance with state regulations, and current BLS certification (AHA/ARC).

The preferred qualifications include ACLS (AHA/ARC), PALS (AHA/ARC) or ENPC certifications, OR Nursing Certification (CNOR), and other certifications and licenses may be required for this position.

The essential work functions include preparing the operating room, assisting in positioning and preparing patients for surgery, maintaining a sterile field throughout surgical procedures, anticipating the needs of the surgical team, monitoring the patient's condition during surgery, handling surgical instruments and supplies, managing specimen collection, documenting all aspects of patient care, participating in patient handoff communication, assisting in cleaning and restocking the operating room, collaborating with the surgical team, following hospital safety rules and procedures, and performing other duties as assigned within the scope of practice.

The required essential skills include critical thinking, service excellence, good interpersonal communication skills, the ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language, ability to read/comprehend written instructions, follow verbal instructions, and proficiency in PC skills, physical abilities, interpersonal skills, technical/motor skills, mental requirements, and sensory.
