Sr. Supply Chain/Logistics Project Manager

Sr. Project Manager

Local (preffered) or remote-25% to 40% travel domestically and internationaly

This position is focused on Supply Chain and Logistics projects as opposed to IT focused

Sucessful candidates will have a manufacturing background and continuous improvement

PMP strongly preferred

The Sr. Project Manager manages and coordinates various high visibility and cross functional projects programs for Biologicals and Chemicals Division (BCD) Operations. Projects range in scope across BCD Operations; covering process development & improvement, and IT systems implementation. The PM will be responsible for managing multiple concurrent projects that will range from requirements, project charter, scope, deliverables, budget, and management of all projects related activities from initiation through project closure.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for providing data and input necessary for proper project prioritization as well as managing the full project life cycle (initiation through project closure).
  • Coordinates inter and intra divisional projects on behalf of BCD Operations
  • Responsible for managing project scope, deliverables and communications to stakeholders which will include executive level reporting and presentations.
  • Work with the project and finance teams to establish project financials including capital and expense cost estimates and project benefit financials. The PM will work closely with functional managers to select project team lead members through the project life cycle to successful completion of assigned projects.
  • Deliver large scale, complex, cross-functional projects
  • Shape and define the scope of the project in collaboration with sponsor and/or senior management
  • Apply project and portfolio management tools to deliver against project plans (e.g., PPM Pro, SmartSheet, etc.)
  • Act as a strategic thinker with the ability to manage a cross functional ecosystem of stakeholders, with the keen ability to influence without authority
  • Act as a change champion for short-term and long-term strategies with the ability to convert business objectives into strategies and initiatives. Champion change
  • Develop and lead the execution of change management plans, including functional training and internal/external communications
  • Communicate milestones and critical path activities effectively, delineate responsibilities and identify risks
  • Establish a communication schedule (operating mechanisms) to update stakeholders including appropriate staff in the organization on the progress of the project

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Minimum required education: Bachelor’s Degree
  • MBA preferred.
