Step Into a Day on the Floor

It’s a crisp morning in Newport News, VA. You review work orders, dial in machine parameters, and bring an injection press to life. Throughout the shift, you watch cycle times, listen for changes in pitch, and study surface finishes to confirm the mold is running to spec. When something drifts, you troubleshoot, adjust settings, and keep production moving—safely and efficiently.

What You’ll Do

• Set up and operate mold injection equipment precisely to the given specifications and job travelers.
• Continuously monitor production to confirm quality standards are consistently achieved.
• Perform routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting to minimize downtime.
• Tune machine parameters based on part and material requirements.
• Inspect finished parts, document findings, and escalate any defects immediately.
• Keep a tidy, well-organized workstation and follow all safety procedures.
• Partner with teammates to improve output and overall efficiency.

What You’ll Bring

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical machine-operation training is a plus.
• Hands-on machine operator background—ideally with injection molding.
• Strong mechanical sense and a solution-first mindset.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documentation.
• Keen attention to detail and a personal commitment to quality.
• Comfort thriving in a fast-paced setting and meeting production deadlines.
• Clear communicator and dependable team collaborator.
