Avenir Behavioral Center is a 32-bed adult Behavioral Hospital that has been serving the Surprise Community and surrounding areas since May 2019. We strive to provide excellent patient care. POSITION TITLE: Housekeeping Associate EMPLOYMENT STATUS: Part-Time / Hourly / Non-Exempt REPORTS TO: Director of Plant Operations DEPARTMENT: Plant Operations / Environmental Services Position Summary: The Part-Time Housekeeping Associate is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, attractive, and comfortable environment throughout the hospital. This role performs routine housekeeping and laundry functions to support patient care and ensure compliance with health and safety standards. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Perform daily cleaning, sanitizing, and maintenance tasks across patient rooms, common areas, offices, and hallways as assigned. Collect, sort, wash, fold, and distribute hospital linens and laundry in accordance with sanitary procedures. Safely operate and maintain housekeeping equipment, tools, and cleaning chemicals (including proper dilution and handling). Adhere to all safety protocols, infection control policies, regulatory standards (OSHA, local Health Department), and facility guidelines. Promptly report maintenance issues, safety hazards, or needed repairs to the Director of Plant Operations. Qualifications & Requirements: Education & Experience: Education: High School Experience: Minimum of 6 months of housekeeping or commercial cleaning experience preferred (hospitality or healthcare setting is a plus). Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: Ability to read, write, and follow oral and written instructions effectively. Strong interpersonal and communication skills for working within a multidisciplinary team. Basic understanding of regulatory guidelines (OSHA, local Health Department regulations, Safety Data Sheets). #J-18808-Ljbffr
