Position Summary

The CDL-A Driver safely transports Gregory Packaging products and materials between our plants, vendors, and customer warehouses. Drivers make assigned pickups and deliveries on time and professionally, keep accurate delivery paperwork, and follow all DOT and company safety rules.

Routes vary by location and include local runs with drivers home daily and regional runs. Drivers work Monday through Friday, averaging 40–50 hours per week, and are assigned a dedicated tractor (no slip seating) with all equipment provided.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

· Make assigned pickups and deliveries on time and in a professional manner.

· Pick up materials and products from vendors.

· Deliver product to customer warehouses (no-touch freight).

· Transfer product between Gregory Packaging plants.

· Deliver products according to the bill of lading (BOL).

· Adjust delivery quantities on the invoice when there is a discrepancy, and notify customer support.

· Prepare daily reports as required by the DOT, the company, and your supervisor.

· Take vehicles to and from vendors for scheduled maintenance.

· Comply with all DOT regulations and company policies, including safety rules.

· Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

· Three years of safe driving history, with no DUI or reckless driving violations in the past five years and no careless driving violations in the past three years.

· Stable employment history for the past three years.

· Delivery experience required.

· Must be at least 25 years of age.

Certifications & Licenses

· Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL-A) with air brake endorsement.

· Tanker endorsement preferred

· Current DOT medical card; must pass a DOT physical examination as required by the applicable state.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

· Knowledge of HACCP and food safety practices is a plus.

· Good sense of direction and ability to navigate assigned routes.

· Proactive, with good communication and people skills.

· Sound judgment and a strong commitment to safety.

Physical Demands

· Able to lift up to 25 pounds.

· Extended periods of sitting and driving.
