Position: Laser Operator

Pay : $17.75 per hour - weekly pay 

Hours - Monday thru Thursday 5:30am to 4pm
Employment: Full-time, entry-level

Main responsibilities:

• Operate laser machines and move materials to and from the equipment.
• Perform quality checks on completed parts.
• Complete inspection reports for jobs run on the machine.
• Read and interpret blueprints.
• Use calipers, micrometers, and other measuring equipment to verify dimensions.
• Identify defective materials or questionable conditions and report them to the supervisor.
• Perform normal laser-machine operations.
• Troubleshoot quality problems.
• Keep the work area and equipment clean and organized.
• Follow all company safety procedures and quality-management requirements.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–3 years of manufacturing experience is preferred.
• Attention to detail and manual dexterity.
• Ability to follow directions and work as part of a team.
• Dependability, adaptability, and good time management.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to monitor equipment and identify problems.

What the job is basically like

This is a manufacturing-floor machine operator job, not a medical or laboratory laser position. You would operate production laser equipment, inspect the parts being produced, measure them against blueprints/specifications, move materials, and report or troubleshoot quality problems.
