Available Schedules

Choose the schedule that works best for you:

Option 1:

• Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday
• 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM

Option 2:

• Monday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday
• 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM

Training Schedule (Required for First Month):

• Saturday through Wednesday
• 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM

Position Overview

As a Custodian, you will play an essential role in maintaining a clean, organized, and safe facility. This position combines hands-on custodial responsibilities with leadership support for maintenance custodians and weekend operations. The ideal Custodian is proactive, safety-minded, and committed to providing excellent service while ensuring the facility remains in top condition.
Key Responsibilities

As a Custodian, your daily duties will include:

• Performing comprehensive custodial services, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, restroom sanitation, waste removal, and replenishment of supplies.
• Supervising, training, and leading maintenance custodians while providing oversight of weekend custodial operations.
• Maintaining custodial schedules and ensuring all cleaning, housekeeping, and preventative maintenance tasks are completed on time.
• Operating cleaning equipment and utilizing cleaning chemicals according to safety standards and established procedures.
• Performing minor repairs, basic troubleshooting of equipment, and light facility maintenance as needed.
• Assisting with event setup and breakdown, including moving, arranging, and organizing furniture and equipment.
• Monitoring facilities for safety hazards, maintenance concerns, and building issues, reporting findings promptly.
• Supporting campus safety during inclement weather through snow removal, salting walkways, and slip prevention efforts.
• Collaborating effectively with fellow team members to ensure all custodial and maintenance duties are completed efficiently.

Qualifications

Successful Custodian candidates will possess:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Previous janitorial, custodial, housekeeping, or institutional cleaning experience preferred.
• Experience working in schools, healthcare facilities, hospitals, or similar environments is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with industrial cleaning equipment, housekeeping tools, and safe chemical handling procedures.
• Flexibility to work weekends, special events, and varying schedules as needed.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• A professional, positive attitude and strong customer service mindset.
• Physical ability to perform routine cleaning tasks, lift equipment and supplies, and remain active throughout the shift.
