Job Summary:
Progressive Care Unit (PCU) nurse in a healthcare facility specializing in patient care that requires moderate to high acuity monitoring. The role involves providing quality nursing care to adult patients, with a focus on oncology experience being beneficial. Candidates should have completed the Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) Chemotherapy and Biotherapy course to administer vesicant chemotherapy. The position requires adaptability to unit protocols after orientation, and the ability to handle complex patient needs on a fast-paced unit.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license, completion of the Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) Chemotherapy and Biotherapy course, experience in healthcare for at least 1 year, and current certification or eligibility to administer chemotherapy.
• Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience in oncology or progressive care units, familiarity with unit-specific protocols and procedures for chemotherapy administration.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Additional Information: Candidates must complete a unit-based oncology course and orientation before administering non-vesicant chemotherapy on the unit. Active chemotherapy infusion patients are generally not assigned unless course or certification requirements are met. All candidates should have professional profile updated accordingly for submission.
