Labor and Employment Associate

Direct Counsel is looking for a junior to mid-level associate (approx. 2-5 years) to join our Labor and Employment Practice Group in Orange County and Los Angeles. The candidate must be currently licensed to practice law in California and have at least 2+ years of solid experience in employment litigation, including PAGA and wage/hour class actions . Experience with daily advice and counsel concerning employment - related matters is preferred, but not required. In addition, experience and/or background in OSHA and Cal/OSHA is preferred.

The firm's employment attorneys partner closely with clients to provide broad, protective counsel that minimizes risk exposure. When litigation ensues, the attorneys are quick to respond and tailor an aggressive plan as needed to defend actions, including up to and through trial. The firm's critical risk-management solutions allow clients to focus on managing their businesses while we manage the details of their employment problems.


They work with business management to ensure workplace compliance and an immediate response when conflict arises. They provide advice and counsel to business and defend employers from lawsuits. Their clients vary from closely-held companies to major financial institutions, banks, restaurant chains, manufacturers and retailers, with offices and locations nationwide.

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary Range: $160,000 - $230,000 annually (commensurate with experience).
