Travel RN - Cath Lab/EP

American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab/EP RN for a high-volume invasive cardiology unit, requiring 2+ years of experience and Epic charting proficiency.

Job Details

• Work in a unit with 4 dedicated Cardiac Catheterization Labs, 3 dedicated Electrophysiology labs, and 2 shared cath/EP labs with 33 prep/recovery bays,
• Unit completes over 6,000 procedures annually including complex coronary procedures, VAD/ECMO, structural heart procedures, TAVR, left atrial appendage occlusion, PFO/ASD closure, mitral valve clipping, complex ablations, pacemaker/ICD implants, cardioversion, and peripheral interventions,
• Day shift, working either 8-hour or 10-hour shifts between 6:00 AM-7:00 PM,
• Weekends as needed,
• Floating as needed,
• Call required with a 30-minute response time, placed on one of six call teams, no more than every 6th weekend,
• Must be willing to stay until the last patient is cared for,
• No holiday coverage required,

Job Requirements

• Active RN license (Standard or Compact), PA license or compact license required,
• Current certifications: ACLS and BLS,
• Minimum 2 years of experience required,
• Epic charting experience required,
• Experience with cardiac cath lab procedures including diagnostic and interventional catheterizations, PCI, left/right heart catheterizations, and vascular closure systems,
• Proficiency in ACT monitoring, 12 lead EKG/ECG, dysrhythmia interpretation/management, and procedural sedation monitoring,
• Experience with emergency medications, antiarrhythmics, antihypertensives, IV vasopressors, and thrombolytics,
• Skilled in starting and maintaining IVs,

• Provide direct patient care in diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath lab and pre/post procedure settings,
• May care for COVID-positive patients,
• Facility is tobacco and fragrance free,
• Maximum RTO of 7 days,
• Local candidates considered within a 50-mile radius,
• First-time travelers are not considered for this position
