The Tax Manager will support and review month end close activities./ppJob Expectations:/pulliOversee the end-to-end preparation and filing of state, local, and international indirect tax returns./liliServe as the primary point of contact for external tax preparers, ensuring all data provided is accurate and filings meet all statutory deadlines./liliPrepare and review US and foreign indirect tax filings and reconciliations./liliReview and oversee monthly reconciliations of various tax accounts on the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting./liliManage SOX control documentation./liliManage and gather information for tax authority audits, as well as other ad hoc projects./liliLed communications and negotiations with tax authorities/liliOversee the maintenance of the tax calendar, tax notice log, and carryover schedules./liliRemain current and up-to-date on existing and upcoming tax laws./liliResearch tax issues in all applicable areas of tax including memorandum write-up of results and maintaining legislative materials by reviewing, interpreting, and implementing new or revised laws./liliServe as the functional lead for the companys tax engine (e.g., Vertex, Avalara), overseeing tax rule maintenance, jurisdictional mapping, and product taxability configurations./liliLead or play a key role in the end-to-end implementation of tax engine and serve as the tax subject matter expert in system implementations./liliDevelop understanding of tax data and processes for cash tax forecasting and automation initiatives./li/ulpKnowledge, Skills and Abilities:/ppRequired:/pulliHigh degree of accuracy and attention to detail/liliExcellent organization skills and ability to multi-task/liliStrong communication skills/liliProficiency with Microsoft Office applications/li/ulpEquipment Knowledge:/pulliExperience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)/liliExperience with Google Business Suite (Gmail, Drive, Docs, Sheets, Forms) preferred/liliExperience with Avalara, Vertex, or other Tax Engines./li/ulpExperience Requirements:/ppGenerally, requires a minimum of seven (7) years of relevant income tax and/or sales tax and accounting experience, with Big 4/Mid-Tier CPA firms preferred./ppEducation Requirements:/ppBachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance preferred, or a combination of education and equivalent work experience. CPA preferred. Masters Degree in Taxation a plus./ppAnticipated Pay Scale:/pp$130,000 - $145,000 USD/p/div
