RN - Neuro PCU Profession: Nursing Specialty: Stepdown Neuro Duration: 13 or 26 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years in a large, urban hospital License: Current nursing license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, CPI, NIHSS Must-Have: EPIC charting experience Experience in a Level 1 trauma facility within the last year Recent experience with required drips Ability to float as needed Description:This position is for RNs in a mixed acuity unit.The unit specializes in caring for patients with various neurological conditions.RNs should be prepared to care for up to six Med Surg patients.The unit consists of 48 beds with specialized equipment for long-term EEG monitoring.Patient population includes strokes, aneurysms, seizures, spinal fusions, and brain tumors.The staffing ratios are 1:5 during days and 1:6 during nights.Night ratios can occasionally be 1:7.Stepdown ratios vary from 1:3 to 1:4.Floating to other units is required to meet staffing needs.The facility is a nicotine-free environment.Travelers must work some weekends and two of the three major holidays.Requests for time off must be submitted with the application.Candidates must possess experience managing IVs, ports, and cardiac telemetry.The focus is on patient-centered care and teamwork within multidisciplinary teams.Candidates must adhere to all current health and safety practices. #J-18808-Ljbffr Cynet HealthStaff
