Massage TherapistThe Massage Therapist provides relief and relaxation to clients through the use of therapeutic massage. This position assesses each client individually, and develops a plan of action accordingly.With 11 ministries and access points across Indiana, Franciscan Health is one of the largest Catholic health care systems in the Midwest. Franciscan Health takes pride in hiring coworkers that provide compassionate, comprehensive care for our patients and the communities we serve.What You Can Expect:Accurately document and maintain client records and necessary department paperwork in a timely manner.Clean, organize, and maintain work area, and disinfect after treatment.Assess patients' soft tissue condition, joint quality and function, muscle strength and range of motion and develop a treatment plan.Communicate with patients about their medical histories, problems, and pain, and answer patient questions and concerns.Perform therapeutic massage in a variety of modalities to the soft tissues and joints to provide treatment for medical conditions and injuries.Qualifications:Required High School Diploma/GED1 year Massage Experience RequiredMassage Therapist (MSGTHER) - State Licensing Board-RequiredFirst Aid (AID) - American Heart AssociationCardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) - American Heart AssociationMassage Therapy License/Certification from recognized school (AMTA, OBTA, ABMP)Travel is required: Never or RarelyEqual Opportunity EmployerIt is the policy of Franciscan Alliance to provide equal employment to its employees and qualified applicants for employment as otherwise required by an applicable local, state or Federal law.
