IT Program Manager - AEM

Apex Systems is hiring an IT Program Manager (AEM focus) for a large healthcare client.


Location: Pleasanton, California (Partially Remote)

Employment Type: 1 year contract possibility to extend or convert.


Role Overview

The Program Manager is responsible for leading the planning, execution, and installation and integration of an Accelerated Experience Platform (AEP). This role ensures the program delivers measurable value, aligns with organizational priorities, and provides a consistent experience for all participants and stakeholders. The Program Manager drives cross-functional coordination, manages timelines and deliverables, and ensures the program operates with clarity, accountability, and strategic intent.

This role is partial remote to Pleasanton, CA - This candidate would also be leading the Program Increment (monthly team meetings) which would require presence at the Pleasanton Campus.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the end-to-end management of the platform, including planning, execution, evaluation, and continuous improvement.
  • Translate program goals into clear plans, milestones, and success metrics.
  • Ensure alignment between program objectives and broader organizational strategy.
  • Partner with internal development teams and business leaders to ensure program success.
  • Facilitate communication and alignment across teams, resolving issues and removing barriers.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for program stakeholders and participants.
  • Develop and maintain program documentation, workflows, and governance processes.
  • Track program performance using data, dashboards, and reporting tools.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline processes and enhance program efficiency.
  • Identify risks early and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Escalate issues appropriately and ensure timely resolution.
  • Maintain program stability during periods of change or ambiguity.
Required Qualifications

Education: A Bachelor's degree is required for this position.

Experience: At least 10 years of related experience is preferred. Proven experience is required in creating committed schedules through the development lifecycle, planning and managing program increments, managing issues and risks, and communicating status to IT and business leaders. Experience with Jira and Confluence is also required.

Technical Skills: The role involves driving vendor integration programs, vendor management, and financial management.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of Adobe Experience Platform (AEP) is preferred.
Work Environment

This position is partially remote. The individual should be located in Northern California to work closely with the Product Leader and must be present at the Pleasanton campus for monthly Program Increment meetings. Travel is expected to be around 25% for hosting meetings and design sessions.
