Job Description

This position will be located in Slidell, La.

[1] Weekends: Saturday 7am to 11pm & 7am to 11pm Sunday

DSW will assist in the performance of task related to maintaining a safe, healthy, stable living environment which includes:

Assist with cleaning task in the area of the home used by Consumer.

Shopping for items such as hygiene products, clothing and groceries.
Performing activities of daily living inside and out the home which require DSW assistances.
Assist with transfer and/ or ambulation in activities necessary to live independently.
Assist with performing laundry chores.
Assist with bladder and/or bowel requirements, including help with bed pan routines.
Assist with storage of food preparation and eating of meals.
Accompany consumer to clinics, physician's offices and other necessary appointments.
Assist Consumer in receiving any services specified in the plan of care, which include development of leisure skills which maybe a specified service in the plan of care.
DSW is not allowed to have Consumer(s) in their home or bring them around their family or friends during scheduled work time.
Must have compassionate and caring demeanor.
Must have the ability to build rapport.
