Job Description Inpatient Hematology/Oncology Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Bon Secours Cancer Institute | Memorial Regional Medical Center | Mechanicsville, VA (Greater Richmond Region) Join a collaborative and mission-driven oncology team at Bon Secours Cancer Institute, located on the campus of Memorial Regional Medical Center. We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to provide inpatient hematology/oncology coverage, delivering compassionate, high-quality care to a complex patient population in a supportive, team-based environment. Opportunity Highlights: Inpatient-focused role rounding on hematology/oncology patients Monday–Friday schedule (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM) Collaborative team of physicians and APCs with strong mentorship support Well-established cancer institute with robust hospital consult volume Multidisciplinary support including nursing, care management, and oncology resources Opportunities for professional development, research, and committee involvement Role Overview: Provide comprehensive inpatient care to hematology/oncology patients, including rounding and consults Perform assessments, develop treatment plans, and manage acute and chronic oncologic conditions Order and interpret diagnostic studies and manage therapies in accordance with clinical protocols Collaborate closely with physicians, specialists, and interdisciplinary care teams Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment plans, and supportive care needs Qualifications: For Nurse Practitioners: Board certification as an FNP or AGPCNP Active Virginia Nurse Practitioner license required For Physician Assistants: PA-C certification required Active Virginia Physician Assistant license required Hematology/oncology experience preferred; motivated new graduate NPs and PAs with a strong interest in oncology are encouraged to apply Benefits & Compensation Full Comprehensive Benefit Package to include: Medical Plans, Vision, Dental, Prescription Drugs Life Insurance Options Disability Insurance, Short and Long Term Wellness Plan Flex Spending and Health Savings Account Eligible Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program Allowed Time Off plus holidays.
