Registered Nurse (RN) - Night Shift

This is a 13-week contract position.

Night shift - 3x12.0 hours.

The Registered Nurse (RN) maintains the delivery of quality care by assuring the nursing care plan is followed. The RN supervises Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, and orientees, while promoting a culture of safety for patients and employees.

Responsibilities

• Perform nursing assessments on all patients within 8 hours of admission.
• Develop individualized plans of care and identify teaching needs related to patients' diagnoses.
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and timely.
• Participate in patient rehabilitation programs and provide direct patient care.
• Initiate discharge planning and patient education from the day of admission.
• Communicate changes in patient status to ensure continuity of care.
• Supervise and train ancillary nursing personnel, delegating tasks appropriately.
• Contribute positively to the unit's functioning and team dynamics.
• Assist in maintaining a safe environment in accordance with hospital policies.
• Assume charge responsibilities as requested post-orientation.
• Engage in professional growth and development through continuing education.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• BLS Certification required prior to first shift.
• ACLS Certification required prior to first shift (CIRH ONLY).
• Minimum of two (2) years of bedside clinical experience required.
