Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - Upper East Side AdvantageCare Physicians (ACPNY) is a primary and specialty care practice serving half a million patients across the New York metropolitan area. As we grow, our employees grow with us. Summary of Position The Licensed Practical Nurse position is responsible for providing professional nursing care to patients. Principal Accountabilities Administrative Obtains, verifies and records health history of patients. Prepares equipment to efficiently draw blood. Monitors inventory of medical supplies and orders when necessary. Reports malfunctioning machinery to Administration. Communication Promotes wellness by providing patient education materials and communicating physician advice and/or instructions. Clinical Provides physician support by checking height. Provides basic patient care by administering medications. Assists other healthcare professionals in performing exams. Organizes patient flow and accompanies patient to exam room. Sets up and cleans exam room before, between and after patient visits. Performs other job-related duties as required. Qualifications Education, Training, Licenses, Certifications High School Diploma or GED. Completion of NYS approved Practical Nursing program. Current New York State Licensed Practical Nurse License. Relevant Work Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Minimum of one year experience required as of 2009.
