Responsibilities What You'll Do Assist with documenting security log collection, monitoring, and tuning in our SIEM platform Support creating asset inventory reports and reviewing security controls effectiveness Research emerging threats and summarize them for the team Build or improve documentation, runbooks, and reporting dashboards Help review security requests and changes, documenting findings and recommendations Participate in team standups, security reviews, and project planning Qualifications Internship Eligibility and Requirements Must be enrolled in a full-time academic program, currently a junior or rising senior enrolled at a local Atlanta University (e.g., Georgia State University, University of Georgia, Kennesaw State University), currently pursuing a degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Expected Graduation: Students must be on track to graduate in May or December 2027. GPA Requirements: A minimum GPA of 3.0 or above is required to be considered for the position. Location Requirement: This is a remote internship based in Atlanta, Georgia. Applicants must be local to Atlanta, Georgia, and able to work in person (or hybrid, as required). Availability: Must be available at least 20 hours per week on weekdays yearround; schedule is flexible to accommodate academic commitments What We’re Looking For Foundational understanding of networking, operating systems, and security concepts (CIA triad, common attack types, etc.) Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure/Entra) and/or scripting (Python, PowerShell) is a plus Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills Curiosity, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn Nice to Have Coursework or labs in SIEM, endpoint protection, network engineering, or API development Security certifications in progress Experience with ticketing/ITSM tools
