Overview Nuclear Medicine Technologist Job Description We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures using radioactive materials and specialized equipment. You will work closely with physicians to provide accurate imaging results that aid in patient diagnosis and treatment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology, along with proficiency in various imaging techniques. Duties Perform DEXA scans and PET scans to assess patient conditions. Administer radiopharmaceuticals to patients in accordance with safety protocols. Conduct diagnostic evaluations and interpret imaging results. Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to discuss findings and treatment plans. Utilize aseptic techniques during procedures to prevent infection. Operate medical imaging equipment and ensure proper maintenance. Stay updated on advancements in nuclear medicine technology and practices. Requirements Experience: You need at least 6 months of experience for this job. Certifications: You must have certain certifications. However, CCMH will still look at applications from people who do not have them or have not updated their copies yet.
