The South Boston Manufacturing Center is the home of the Gillette World Shaving Headquarters and produces household grooming mainstays like Mach 3, Fusion, Labs, and Venus shaving products. About the role: As a Plant Electrician & Instrumentation Technician you will troubleshoot electrical and controls issues on manufacturing equipment using electrical schematics, complete planned electrical installations and maintenance, assist with electrical and controls upgrade or improvement projects, and collaborate with machine mechanics, other electricians, and engineers to drive business results. Work a set, full-time schedule indoors! This role will initially be in South Boston and will transition to our Andover Manufacturing Center located ~25 miles north of Boston within the next five years. Qualifications High School/GED Education Holds an Electrical Journeyman's license and can practice in the state of Massachusetts Be 18 years of age or older Able to work a 12 hour shift and wear safety rated equipment Role model electrical safety in ALL aspects of your work Self-directed, motivated, and able to collaborate well with others Strong technical troubleshooting, problem-solving, issue resolution, and root cause analysis for industrial electrical or controls issues Knowledge and/or application with PLCs, HMI’s, process instrumentation, vision systems, machine control systems, VFDs, servo drives, robotics, power distribution ( Control cabinet electrical wiring experience, able to use electrical troubleshooting tools for measurements and analysis, and/or able to read electrical schematics and one-line diagrams Experience with a regulated industry, such as Food, Cosmetic, or Drug for knowledge of GMP compliance is a plus. We will help you to build technical mastery in these systems.
