DescriptionSenior Accountant - Real Estate Investment FirmWe are looking for a Senior Accountant to join a growing real estate investment organization in Stamford, Connecticut. In this role, you will support core accounting operations for a portfolio of properties while helping deliver timely, accurate financial reporting to leadership. This opportunity offers close collaboration with finance and operational teams in a fast-paced environment where strong analytical skills and attention to detail are highly valued.Responsibilities:• Manage month-end activities, including posting journal entries, updating the general ledger, and completing closing tasks on schedule.• Prepare financial reports for monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting periods and review results for accuracy and consistency.• Perform account and bank reconciliations, investigate discrepancies, and resolve outstanding items in a timely manner.• Partner with internal stakeholders to support budgeting, forecasting, and analysis of performance against expectations.• Evaluate property-level operating results, cash activity, and financial trends to support business decisions.• Assist with annual audits by organizing supporting documentation and coordinating responses for external auditors.• Help maintain compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and company financial policies.RequirementsQualifications:• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.• At least 2 years of accounting experience, with solid exposure to month-end close processes.• Hands-on experience with general ledger activity, journal entries, and account reconciliations.• Background in real estate, property accounting, or investment management is preferred.• Strong Excel skills and comfort working within accounting software platforms.• High level of accuracy, organization, and analytical problem-solving ability.For immediate assistance, feel free to reach out to View email address on click.appcast.io typePerm
