Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification and 1+ years Pharmacy Technician experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This temp/contract opportunity in Clearwater, FL offers a 13-week assignment with a Monday to Friday schedule from 9:00 am to 5:30 pm, starting ASAP or 1.5-2 weeks after offer clearance.

In this role, you will be responsible for processing and filling prescriptions, managing inventory, handling insurance claims, and assisting with packing and shipping medications. Your attention to detail and ability to communicate clearly will ensure efficient pharmacy operations in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process prescriptions, adjudicate insurance claims, and resolve rejections promptly.
• Prepare, package, and label medications accurately for pharmacist verification.
• Perform data entry, manage prescription paperwork, and maintain communication with patients and prescribers.
• Conduct daily inventory cycle counts, restocking, and review medication expirations.
• Support returns, medication quarantines, and destruction procedures.
• Cross-train in various pharmacy tasks and assist with department needs.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA, Medicare/Medicaid, and insurance regulations.

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or GED required.
• PTCB certification and Florida pharmacy technician license in good standing.
• Minimum of 2 years pharmacy technician experience; call center experience is a plus.
• Strong multitasking, organizational, and time management capabilities.
• Effective communication skills with patients, healthcare providers, and internal teams.
