Transportation Associate

Job Overview Transportation Associate will perform trailer moves, coordinate yard activities, conduct audits, complete training programs, and operate various vehicle types to support Amazon’s transportation network. Key Responsibilities Make safety a priority by following company rules and enforcing safety measures for all vehicles and yard personnel. Perform yard functions and support site operations, internal transportation teams, and external carriers to ensure trailers move on time with zero defects. Operate Commercial Motor Vehicles (CMVs) on non‑public roads or within the yard. Learn and comply with Department of Transportation regulations and company policies. Complete driver vehicle inspection reports and report maintenance issues. Follow hostler and delivery schedules, track working hours and breaks, and obey traffic laws. Serve as a peer trainer and support nearby site locations as needed. Drive, maneuver, and load/unload trucks using approved equipment such as pallet jacks. Qualifications Valid and active driver’s license (21+ years old). High‑school diploma or equivalent. Ability to lift up to 49 pounds, stand/walk for up to 12 hours, and perform physical tasks. Work 40 hours/week with overtime; flexible schedule, including weekends, nights, and holidays. English proficiency for safety communication. Experience building relationships with colleagues and vendors (preferred). Commercial Driver’s License (Class A) or willingness to earn one (preferred). Experience with Microsoft Office (preferred).
