School Social Worker

This 39-week contract school social worker position in Algonquin, Illinois offers a competitive hourly rate up to $50 based on experience. The role supports students' social, emotional, and behavioral needs while collaborating with school staff and families.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide school-based social work services to support students' social, emotional, and behavioral needs.
• Conduct assessments and support case management for students and families as appropriate to school social work standards.
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, counselors, and community resources to promote student success.
• Deliver individual and/or group counseling interventions aligned with student needs and district processes.
• Maintain accurate documentation and participate in relevant meetings per district requirements.

Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program or equivalent degree required for school social work licensure/placement.
• Illinois school social worker certification/licensure or eligibility to obtain.
• Minimum 1 year of relevant experience working with children/adolescents in a school or related setting.
• Experience supporting students and families with social/emotional and behavioral needs.
• Ability to collaborate with school staff and families.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
• Professionalism and confidentiality with student information.
• Ability to work effectively in a school environment and support student success.
• Background check requirements may apply per district policy.
• Availability for a 37.5-hour per week schedule.
