Senior Technical Advisor.

Duties Providing technical expertise and leadership within the directorate for planning, development, management and evaluation of a wide range of administrative and management initiatives and functions. Designing and developing transformational, cutting‑edge initiatives aligned with OSHA and DCSP policies and external stakeholder needs. Developing evaluation reports, proposed policy changes, and recommended courses of action that often have agency and nation‑wide impact and significance. Establishing and maintaining guidance and cooperative assistance with OSHA's external stakeholders (State Plans, alliances, partnerships, international partners). Conducting extensive fact‑finding and project planning for major studies and nationwide program initiatives. Requirements Must be at least 16 years old. Must be a U.S. Citizen. Candidate required to obtain the necessary security/investigation level. Requires a probationary period if the requirement has not been met. Subject to financial disclosure requirements. All personnel must undergo a background investigation for access to DOL facilities, systems, and information. Must complete a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report (OGE Form 450) annually. Qualifications Specialized experience is the experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSA's) to perform the duties of the position successfully, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level. Applicants must have 52 weeks of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level, GS‑14, in the Federal Service. Qualifying Specialized Experience for the GS‑15 Includes Applying knowledge of the federal regulatory process, including safety and occupational health laws and regulations, to develop policies and other program documents. Assisting in the technical development/review of existing and new directives, grant and cooperative agreements, standards, or other guidance documents. Providing technical leadership for planning, development, management and/or evaluation of a wide range of administrative and management initiatives and functions.
