About The Role:

We're looking for a licensed, detail-oriented Spray Technician to join our Agronomics team. Unlike most crew roles, this is a solo position — you'll run your own route, manage your own truck and equipment, and be both crew member and crew leader for the properties you service. If you take pride in doing precise, well-documented work with minimal oversight, this role gives you the independence to do just that.

You'll apply fertilizers, herbicides, and pesticides across residential and commercial properties according to program schedules, always keeping safety, accuracy, and compliance front and center. You'll also be the face of EarthScapes at every stop — leaving behind signage and paperwork that lets clients know exactly what was done and what to expect.

What You'll Do:

Application Services

• Apply fertilizers, herbicides, and pesticides according to program schedules
• Complete jobs on time and within budget, with a high degree of customer satisfaction
• Ensure every application is safe, accurate, and legally compliant
• Document all services, materials used, and completed sites in Aspire

Client Communication

• Provide "leave behinds" (yard signs and paperwork) at every service visit
• Communicate any restrictions to clients (watering, walking, pet access)

Solo Operations

• Plan and execute your daily route independently
• Ensure your truck, equipment, and materials are ready before leaving the yard each day

Safety & Compliance

• Follow all safety protocols for chemical handling and application
• Maintain compliance with state and federal regulations and company policy

What You'll Need:

• Valid Virginia Pesticide Applicator's License (required)
• 2+ years of experience preferred in turf and plant care
• Strong documentation and record-keeping skills
• Ability to work independently and responsibly with minimal supervision
• Reliable attendance and punctuality
• OSHA safety knowledge
• First Aid & CPR Certification
• Valid driver's license
