Position Overview As a Software Engineer at MFC, you will join one of the largest networks of software professionals, implementing cutting‑edge technologies on both existing and new development platforms. You will help solve the world’s most difficult challenges supporting a wide range of domains such as aircraft flight command and control, air traffic control, healthcare, and homeland defense, and you will work across multiple programs over your career. What You Will Be Doing Develop embedded software. Integrate features/algorithms into C/C++ applications. Plan, conduct, and coordinate software development activities. Design, develop, document, test, and debug software that contains logical and mathematical solutions to business/mission problems or questions in computer language for solutions by means of data processing equipment. Apply knowledge of computer hardware and software, subject matter to be programmed in business/mission applications, information processing techniques used, and information gathered from system users to develop software. Correct program errors, prepare operating instructions, compile documentation of program development, and analyze system capabilities to resolve questions of program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques, and controls. Location & Schedule This position is onsite in Grand Prairie, TX. The work will be performed at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The schedule for this position is a 4‑hour day, 3 days off per week. Flexible work schedules are supported and comprehensive benefits are provided. Basic Qualifications BS in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Active Secret clearance with investigation in the last 5 years. Embedded software development experience. Experience working with HW/SW and testing in HWIL. Linux/Xilinx tool suite experience. Proficiency in C++ and/or C. Desired Skills Software design/architecture experience. Knowledge of Cameo, software design, and architecture. Full software development life‑cycle experience. Agile development methodology (Atlassian Tool Suite). Experience working in early technology/demonstration contracts. Experience with DevSecOps and GitLab CI/CD tools. Technical document development. Technical review presentation development and delivery. Security Clearance This position requires a government security clearance and the candidate must be a U.S. citizen.
