Job Title: Senior IBM DataPower Developer/ Administrator Designation: Senior IBM DataPower Developer/ Administrator Years of experience: 8+ years Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Senior IBM DataPower Administrator/Developer who does the production systems support to join our dynamic software development team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for handling the full lifecycle of integration services, combining XSLT development (transformations, security) with administration (deployment, configuration, debugging) and production support that meet our clients' needs. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities: Development & Design: Design, develop, and test DataPower services (MPGW, XML Firewall, WSP) using XSLT and GatewayScript. Security Implementation: Implement security mechanisms including OAuth 2.0, JWT, API Keys, and Mutual TLS/SSL profiles. Administration & Support: Provide L3 support for production issues, including troubleshooting via DataPower Ops Dashboard (DPOD) and debugging tools like Splunk or Dynatrace. Environment Management: Perform firmware upgrades, backups, appliance monitoring, and configuration management. CI/CD & Deployment: Implement automated deployment of code/config migrations using tools like Jenkins, Ansible, or UrbanCode Deploy (UDeploy). Integration: Work with API Connect, MQ, and backend services to ensure secure connectivity. Implement SSL/TLS connections, load balancing, and secure proxy services. Production Support: Perform high-level troubleshooting, root cause analysis (RCA), and debugging for APIs, including maintenance of production certificate renewals and application cleanup. Participate in Agile support processes, including daily stand-ups, and war room calls. Candidate’s availability is the key and mandated. Should be willing to work in weekends and out of business hours on demand. Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends to continuously improve development processes. Mentor junior developers and contribute to their professional growth. Mandatory Skills: Technical Proficiency: Deep expertise in IBM DataPower (XI50, XI52, IDG), XML, XSLT, SOAP, REST, WSDL, and JSON. Networking & Security: Knowledge of TCP/IP, SSL/TLS, and Firewall security. Monitoring Tools: Experience with DPOD, Dynatrace, or similar infrastructure monitoring. Middleware: Familiarity with IBM WebSphere MQ, API Connect, or similar ESB products. Key Focus Areas for Production Support Troubleshooting latency, failed transactions, Data issues, and error handling. Managing certificate renewals and secure connections. Maintaining production uptime, failover, and high availability (HA). Preferred Skills: Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices. Experience in Insurance domain and business process is highly preferred. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks effectively.
