About the Position

Job Summary

The Charge Nurse is responsible for coordinating and overseeing patient care across departments to ensure safe and effective delivery. This role acts as a clinical leader, resource for staff, and liaison between departments, patients, and hospital administration.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient care and communication across departments
• Oversee patient flow and transfers within the facility
• Support and mentor nursing staff, answering clinical questions
• Assist with direct patient care when needed
• Ensure appropriate patient placement for admissions
• Support interdepartmental staffing needs
• Assist with after-hours pharmacy requirements
• Lead incident response during emergency situations
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies and standards

Requirements

Requirements

• Active Wisconsin RN License (required)
• BLS (required within 1 month)
• ACLS, PALS, NRP (required within 12 months)
• TNCC (preferred)
• Minimum 3+ years of nursing experience
• Associate Degree in Nursing required ( BSN preferred )
