Human Resources amp Workforce Development Generalist

Overview The organization is seeking an experienced Human Resources and Workforce Development (HRWD) Generalist to serve as a key resource and point of contact to departments citywide. This is a high-impact role for a seasoned professional who can operate independently, manage competing priorities across multiple departments, and deliver expert guidance across a broad range of workforce matters. You will support hiring managers throughout the recruitment process, assist with onboarding, represent the City at career fairs, and play a central part in attracting and onboarding top-tier talent. What You'll Do Support assigned departments. Own the relationship as the go-to liaison for your departments, anticipating needs and driving HR and workforce matters forward in coordination with each department's primary contact. Drive full-cycle hiring. Lead departments through job postings and onboarding with efficiency, and design and deliver training that sharpens the hiring process. Advise on City policies. Provide confident guidance on the interpretation and application of City policies and HR processes, referring complex matters to the appropriate team as needed. Collaborate across teams. Partner as a true team player with internal customers and colleagues to build and implement solutions together. Communicate and document with precision. Prepare clear reports, keep records current, and deliver timely, professional responses to every inquiry. Work independently and think ahead.
