Field Service Technician

Job Overview Field Service Technician responsible for installing, maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing paint tinting equipment and systems in the field. Responsibilities Perform on‑site installation, startup, calibration, preventive maintenance, and repair of paint tinting equipment and systems. Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and basic software issues. Follow established service procedures to ensure work is completed safely, accurately, and meets quality standards. Serve as the primary technical representative at customer sites, communicating findings, recommendations, and next steps. Plan and manage daily service calls within an assigned territory to meet response time and service expectations. Accurately complete service reports, work orders, time entries, and expense reports using company systems. Manage tools, parts usage, travel, and expenses responsibly. Follow all safety policies and customer site safety requirements. Provide phone and remote technical support when not on‑site. Identify recurring equipment or process issues and share insights with service leadership, engineering, and product teams. Maintain current knowledge, certifications, and hands‑on experience as a technical expert for assigned products and applications. Qualifications Associate degree in a technical field or equivalent relevant field service experience. Minimum 2+ years of hands‑on technical service, maintenance, or repair experience. Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills. Customer‑focused mindset with clear, professional communication skills. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a field‑based role. Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel regularly within an assigned territory. Experience servicing industrial equipment or automated systems (preferred). Experience in manufacturing, industrial, or technical service environments (preferred). Familiarity with service management systems and mobile service tools (preferred). Advanced technical training or certifications relevant to relevant products or industries served (preferred).
