Schedule: Monday - Thursday 8:00am - 5:00pm, Friday 8:00am - 1:00pm

Job Description :

We are looking for a Medical Assistant to join our team at Maven Dermatology. This position plays a key role in supporting both clinical operations and patient care. This position involves direct patient care experience (rooming patients, scibing, assisting in procedures including Mohs micrographic surgery). The medical assistant will serve as a primary point of contact for patients regarding biopsy results, lab findings, and follow-up care. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, compassionate, and skilled at communicating clearly and professionally with patients and healthcare providers.


Responsibilities include:

• Scribe and call patients regarding results
• Facilitate patient flow by exam room set up/turn down
• Submit prior authorizations and referrals
• Assist in surgeries including mohs
• Patient call backs
• Set up and maintain inventory of all medical equipment
• Educate patients about at home instructions
• Deliver compassionate support, attention, and assistance to patients and families

Required Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent certification required
• Prior experience as a medical assistant required
• Dermatology experience preferred

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bilingual English/Spanish
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• High level of confidentiality
• Thorough and organized with patient care and file maintenance
• Ability to remain calm and patient when working with patients, employees, and physicians
• Strong customer service skills
• Ability to work well in a team environment
