Senior US Equity Sales Trader – New York

Location: New York, US. Join our dynamic US Markets division as a Senior US Equity Sales Trader, where you will play a pivotal role in expanding our presence in the US equity markets.

Responsibilities

• Build on existing and develop new relationships with US clients, providing advice on equity market developments and key issues that may affect their trading strategies for the US market.
• Execute client orders for the US market and coordinate between traders and the client as required.
• Generate new order flow in the secondary and primary markets – on existing Berenberg deals and help generate potential blocks with client order flow.
• Prioritize resource allocation across clients and products to maximize revenue generation.
• Liaise with and develop Berenberg’s low‑touch offering and our Risk Arb team where possible.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience and Series 7TO, 57 and 63 required.
• 7+ years covering institutional clients in a Sales Trading role.
• Willingness to spend time traveling and socializing with clients.
• Integrity and accountability – maintaining the highest standards of market conduct and risk management.
• Excellent communication skills, ability to foster relationships and to talk in detail about the knowledge of the current market for equities.
• Demonstrated ability to perform under pressure in a fast‑paced environment.

• Salary: $200,000 to $250,000 base salary with eligibility for a discretionary annual bonus plus a comprehensive benefits package.
