Ophthalmic Technician

Job Description Job Description Nashua Eye Associates, P.A. is currently looking for Full-time Ophthalmic Technicians to assist our busy practice. The Ophthalmic Technician assists the Ophthalmologists in preparing patients for their appointments by: * Take medical/ocular histories and entering them into our EMR system * Performing routine and diagnostic tests such as visual acuity, lensometry, refraction, VF testing and OCT imaging. * Assist the doctors with patient examinations and treatment * Refill prescriptions through an ERX system * Respond promptly to messages from patients, other doctors, and pharmacists * Maintain and clean exam rooms and equipment. * Other responsibilities as needed The requirements of the position are as follows: * You must have reliable transportation and the flexibility to work in any of our three offices * Occasional Saturday required based on rotation * Candidate must have a track record of dependability, including good attendance, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work cooperatively with coworkers from all departments * Proficiency in using computers and basic office equipment * Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent required * Experience in ophthalmology, optometry or another medical setting is a plus What we offer: * Ability to work with doctors in various Ophthalmic Specialties * Health, dental, and life insurance * Short and long-term disability * 401K * PTO * Six paid holidays * Re-imbursement towards the JCAHPO Home Study certification * Competitive starting wages We are an equal opportunity employer.
