American Traveler is hiring a travel Occupational Therapist with 2+ years of experience for a 13-week acute care assignment, primarily focused on outpatient orthopedics on a 4x10 MondayThursday schedule.

Details

• Acute care hospital setting, covering acute inpatient, acute rehab, transitional care, and outpatient services
• Primary assignment area is outpatient orthopedics, with orthopedic cases comprising approximately 80100% of caseload
• Patient population includes orthopedic, CVA, MS, and head injury diagnoses
• Approximately 12 patients treated per day
• Day shift, 4x10-hour shifts, Monday through Thursday (Fridays off)
• No weekend or holiday requirements
• Charting systems include MEDITECH for acute care and ReDoc for outpatient documentation

Requirements

• Active Oregon OT license required license required if applicable
• Minimum 2 years of OT experience required
• Current BLS certification required (pending certifications not accepted)
• Experience with orthopedics, hands, elbows, and shoulders is essential
• 2 professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, both including dates of employment and eligibility for rehire
• Valid driver's license required

Additional Information

• Primary responsibilities involve outpatient orthopedic therapy, with additional coverage across acute inpatient, acute rehab, and transitional care
• Lymphedema training is a plus
• Support staff includes rehab aides; no COTAs on the unit
• Department-specific orientation provided (approximately 12 hours)
• Scrubs are required; denim is not permitted
• Candidates who have been directly employed (full-time, part-time, or PRN) by any CommonSpirit or affiliated facility within the past year are not eligible; candidates placed PRN through outside firms will be considered
